Charles Hooker Receives Pennsylvania Advocate of the Year Award

In October, Charles Hooker, President and CEO of Keystone Human Services, received the Pennsylvania Advocate of the Year Award from PAR.

PAR, or Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability, is a member organization for human service providers throughout the Commonwealth. Not only does PAR provide resources for everyone in PA who is interested in supports for people with intellectual disability and/or autism, but it works to influence policies that will effectively serve the needs of people with disability, as well as those who serve them.

To quote PAR leadership, “We are honoring Charles Hooker for his enthusiastic and dedicated promotion of PAR and its mission to advance the dignity and rights of people with autism and intellectual disability.”

“I’m honored to have been chosen for this award.” said Charlie. “PAR’s mission aligns with Keystone’s mission to build a world where all people can grow, make choices, and be included in their communities. Keystone’s membership with PAR gives us the opportunity to collaborate and advocate alongside other providers and people with disability to promote inclusion for all people.”

This award was presented at PAR’s 2019 Solutions Conference.
